Managing risk
A risk is an issue that may have significant negative impact on the project goals, process of community engagement or even whether the project will be completed.
Risk includes:
- the probability that something bad will happen, or a necessary thing will not happen
- an estimation of the consequences.
A risk assessment and associated action plan are conducted during the planning phase, based on the information available at the time. Risk assessment is an ongoing process.
